Coutts & Co. is a British private bank and wealth manager headquartered in London. Founded in 1692, it is the eighth oldest bank in the world. Today, Coutts forms part of NatWest Group's wealth management division. They specialise in helping international clients to invest or borrow. You need at least £3m to become a client, depending on where in the world you live.

THE CHALLENGE

The bank has going through a re brand and used the opportunity to create a new site experience by reviewing the IA.

The Wealth management team wanted to create a secure portal where customers can share experiences with others and learn about philanthropy.

HOW WE DID IT

I worked with our in house design team, stakeholders within Coutts and an external branding agency through our discovery phase. From here we held ongoing moderated research sessions with customers from card sorting exercises to prototypes. 

We then worked with an agile development house implementing the designs and IA to the existing CMS system.

THE OUTCOME

Created a new branded website with an improved IA to the market. Delivered a successful secure knowledge exchange where thousands of customers are sharing experiences of wealth management.
